Khakra Chaat Recipe

Khakra Chaat Recipe is a quick, crispy, tasty and healthy chaat recipe that can be made with whole wheat khakra topped with some vegetables on it.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole wheat khakra
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney (coriander and mint)
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind sweet chutney
  • 2 tablespoon onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon tomato finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon boiled potato diced
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon chaat masala
  • a big pinch red chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder
  • salt to taste
  • sev for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the khakra on a serving plate.
  • Take green chutney and tamarind chutney and spread evenly on the khakra.
  • Sprinkle some chopped onion, tomatoes, boiled potato, coriander leaves evenly one by one.
  • Sprinkle some chaat masala, red chili powder, jeera powder and salt on top and finally sprinkle sev and serve immediately.

Notes

Notes:

  1. You can add other vegetables like shredded carrot, cucumber, bell pepper, corn to make this khakra snack recipe more healthy.
  2. Serve this healthy khakra chaat immediately else it will turn soggy.
  3. If you dont have tamarind chutney you can try adding tomato ketchup instead.
  4. You can also add masala peanuts to it to make it crunchy.
  5. You can also cut khakra into small pieces and make the chaat.
