Wild Rice - Instant Pot

Here is a perfect way to cook wild rice in the Instant Pot. It is nutty, chewy, and easy to cook in an instant pot.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 2 cups vegetable stock (or water)
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Rinse the wild rice with water. Then add it to the instant pot steel insert along with vegetable broth (or water), salt and give a stir.
  • Close the Instant Pot with pressure valve to Sealing. Cook on High Pressure for 30 minutes.
    Once the pot beeps, Do a Natural Pressure Release (NPR).
  • Gently fluff with a fork and Enjoy wild rice.

Stovetop Pot Method

  • Place the wild rice, vegetable broth, and salt in a pot. Bring it to a boil, cover, and simmer for 45-50 minutes. Keep an eye on it and once is rice is done, drain and Enjoy.
