Harvesting Pumpkin Seeds

  • Cut open the pumpkin around the stem end with a sharp knife, scoop out the seeds out of the pumpkin.
  • Then put the mass of seeds and strings to a bowl filled with cold water and rinse them to separate seeds. You may also boil the seeds for 10 minutes to separate seeds from the pulp.
  • Then scatter the seeds on a paper towel and pat them very dry - this helps to make the pumpkin seeds crispier.

Air Fryer Method

  • In a medium bowl, drizzle some olive oil over the dried pumpkin seeds and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss them well until well coated.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C). Add the seasoned pumpkin seeds to the air fryer basket and do not overcrowd (cook in batches if required).
