Ingredients

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 250ml

  • 1 lb baby potatoes (yukon gold or red)
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Firstly wash and clean the potatoes with water. Add 1 cup of water into the instant pot insert. Place the trivet and then arrange the baby potatoes in the steamer basket.

  • Close the Instant Pot with pressure valve to Sealing. Cook on High Pressure for 5 minutes.
  • Once the instant pot beeps, Wait for the pressure to release naturally and then open the lid. Check the doneness of baby potatoes by inserting a knife or fork in the center.

Tips for the Best Boiled Baby Potatoes

  1. Size - Make sure all the baby potatoes are of the same size for even and faster cooking. If a few are slightly big then cut them into half or quarters.
  2. Potato Skin – You can keep the skins on. Just make sure to clean them before using them.
