Fresh Pineapple Salsa Recipe

Refreshing and easy Pineapple Salsa made with only a few ingredients like fresh pineapple, red onions, cilantro, tomatoes, jalapeño, and lime juice

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 250 ml

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple cut into ¼-inch or ½ inch cubes
  • 1 cup roma tomatoes deseeded and cut into ¼-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup red onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves chopped
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 tablespoon jalapenos minced
  • ½ cup red bell pepper chopped, optional
  • salt as needed


  • In a medium sized bowl combine the pineapple, red onion, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, juice of one lime, and salt to taste.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, burritos, quesadillas, or salads. For best flavor, let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.


Variations & Tips

  • You can also add ½ cup of bell pepper to this salsa.
  • Pineapple salsa can be made ahead as it stays fresh for up to 3 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I do not recommend freezing as it will lose its texture and be watery once defrosted.
