When we think of the summer, vibrant fruits are among the first things that spring to mind. Fruits like mango, watermelon, muskmelon, wood apple, kokum, plum, and others are brought on by the season.
These fruits help us quickly escape the oppressive heat since they are all refreshing and hydrating. Pineapple is another well-liked fruit throughout the summer. It has an excellent water content and is sweet and juicy. The fruit, also known as Ananaas in Hindi, is famed for its spiky exterior and crisp, yellow flesh.
You must have tried several pineapple-flavored drinks and desserts. We're bringing you a delectable pineapple dip to make. Who knows what it is? That's right—pineapple salsa. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s try the dish!

Ingredients
- Fresh Pineapple: Fresh, ripe pineapple works best for the salsa. I would not recommend using frozen or canned as they are very watery.
- Red onion: These are perfect for salsa. You can substitute it with yellow or white onion if needed.
- Red bell pepper: Adds color and crunch. It's optional, and I did not add it to this recipe.
- Fresh Cilantro: Finely chopped
- Jalapeño: Finely chopped with seeds and membrane. Use as per your spice level.
- Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice is always better than bottled for the best flavor
- Salt: for seasoning
How to Make Pineapple Salsa
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the pineapple, red onion, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, juice of one lime, and salt to taste.
Serve with tortilla chips, burritos, quesadillas, or salads. For best flavor, let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
