Ingredients

For Salted Sattu Drink

  • 4 tablespoons sattu
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons onion finely chopped, optional
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black salt adjust to your taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cups chilled water
  • few ice cubes

For Sweet Sattu Drink

  • 4 tablespoons sattu
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • a pinch black salt optional
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cups chilled water
  • few ice cubes

Instructions

For Salted Sattu Sharbat

  • In a large mixing bowl, add sattu powder, finely chopped mint leaves, coriander levels, onion (optional), green chili, roasted cumin powder, black salt, and lemon juice.
  • Add chilled water to the mixing bowl, and using the Whisker or Hand-held wooden Churner (Madhani), whisk the mixture until they are well combined.

  • Serve it in a glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish the sharbat with mint leaves if desired for added flavor. The sattu flour settles down, so make sure to stir well before serving. Enjoy.

Sweet Sattu Sharbat

  • Add sattu powder, sugar, black salt, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add chilled water to the mixing bowl, and using the Whisker or Hand-held wooden Churner (Madhani), whisk the mixture until they are well combined.
