What is Wild Rice?
Wild rice is not rice at all. It is the seed from an aquatic grass that grows in lakes and streams. It looks and cooks like other types of rice hence it is referred to as rice. Cooked wild rice has a nutty, earthy flavor and chewy texture.

How to Cook Wild Rice in Instant Pot
Rinse the wild rice with water. Then add it to the instant pot steel insert along with vegetable broth (or water), salt and give a stir.
Close the Instant Pot with pressure valve to Sealing. Cook on High Pressure for 30 minutes.
Once the pot beeps, Do a Natural Pressure Release (NPR).
Wild rice is fully cooked when the grain opens and you see the white germ. Gently fluff with a fork and Enjoy wild rice.

Place the wild rice, vegetable broth, and salt in a pot. Bring it to a boil, cover, and simmer for 45-50 minutes. Keep an eye on it, and once the rice is done, drain and Enjoy.
