It makes a perfect party , pot luck or picnic dessert. This dessert is a keeper!
Ingredients
The ingredients needed for this recipe are quite simple. You will need canned crushed pineapple, canned pineapple chunks, condensed milk, and cool whip or whipped cream for this dessert recipe.
How to Make easy Pineapple Dessert
In a large mixing bowl take crushed pineapple, chopped pineapples with juice, condensed milk, cool whip (whipping cream) and fold everything until well combined.
You can also reduce the quantity of cool whip according to your preference. I usually use ¾ of 8oz cool whip container.
Chill the dessert in refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
Tips & Variations
- You can also add chopped pecans, almonds, or walnuts.
- You can also make the same dessert by replacing pineapple with orange.
- I do not recommend making this dessert using fresh pineapple.
Recipe FAQs
If Cool Whip is not handy, then you can use whipped cream or any whipped topping instead. You can also use greek yogurt but i personally haven't tried it.
Dont have canned crushed pineapple?
No worries, simply place canned pineapple chunks in to your food processor and pulse a few times until texture resembles crushed pineapple.

Can u use fat free vanilla pudding instead of condensed milk
Bhavana Patil says
Hi Mary, Condensed milk is added for the sweetness and to get rich taste to the dish. I am sure replacing vanilla pudding also tastes great in this dessert. Do let me know if you give a try.
