This easy fresh homemade cantaloupe (muskmelon) juice recipe is perfect for hot summer days. Made with just 3 ingredients, it's refreshing, cool and delicious.
Cantaloupes are also known as Muskmelons (or Kharbuja in Hindi in India). They are available all around the year. Melons are naturally ripened and sweeter in taste during the summer season.

Cantaloupe has a number of nutritional health benefits, has high water content, and is packed with Vitamin C, Beta-carotene, Potassium, Folate, and Fiber.
Cantaloupe juice made with ripe cantaloupe is naturally sweet, so there is no need to add more sugar. I used maple syrup in this recipe. This juice is very hydrating and cooling and a great beverage for a hot summer day.
Ingredients
You’ll just need three ingredients to make this homemade cantaloupe juice recipe.
- Cantaloupe: Choose a cantaloupe that is ripe and sweet.
- Sweetener: It is optional. I used maple syrup in this recipe, but you may also use honey, agave syrup, or refined sugar. Increase or decrease the quantity based on the sweetness of the melon.
- Water: You will need just a little amount of chilled water to get the juice consistency.
How to Make Cantaloupe Juice
Cut the cantaloupe into two halves. Remove the skin and scoop out the seeds using a spoon. Then, dice it into big chunks.
In a high-speed blender, add the diced cantaloupe, maple syrup, and water. Blend until smooth.
Strain the pulp using a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. This step is optional (I personally don't strain the pulp as it is full of fiber and nutrients.)
Pour the juice into the serving glasses and garnish with fresh mint. Enjoy!
Serving & Storage Suggestions
Fresh cantaloupe juice is best enjoyed immediately after preparation or chilled for a few hours in the refrigerator.
You can store melon juice in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days in the fridge. The juice loses its nutritional value and flavor as it sits longer.
Tips to Make the Best Musk Melon Juice
- Ripe Cantaloupe: Always use ripened, juicy, and sweet cantaloupe for the best flavor.
- Sweetener: Adjust the amount of sweetener of your choice depending on the sweetness of your cantaloupe.
- Strain or Not strain: It's a personal preference. If you like pulpy juice, then do not strain. Otherwise, strain the pulp using a fine-mesh strainer to get a smooth juice.
Variations
- Honeydew Melon: You can make honeydew melon juice using the exact same method.
- Sparkling Water: Mix the juice with sparkling water for bubbly cantaloupe juice.
- Lime Juice: Simply add lime juice to this juice to make refreshing Cantaloupe Agua Fresca.
