This Indian fresh Strawberry Lassi recipe is made with just four ingredients: strawberry, yogurt, milk, and sugar. Creamy, delicious, and perfect for hot summers.

Lassi is a traditional yogurt-based drink from the Indian subcontinent, made by blending yogurt with milk or water, and sometimes enhanced with spices or fruit for added flavor.
In India, plain sweet lassi and salt lassi (without fruits) are quite famous, and I grew up drinking those during the peak summers. But in the USA, the most popular lassi is mango lassi, which is available in any local Indian restaurant.
Today I am sharing another fruit-based Indian sweet lassi recipe using fresh strawberries. It's easy, delicious, and perfect for hot summers. Whenever I buy huge boxes of organic strawberries from Costco, I generally make this strawberry lassi, strawberry orange juice, and homemade strawberry chia jam since my daughter loves them.
Strawberry Lassi Ingredients
You need very few ingredients to make this healthy yogurt-based strawberry drink.
- Strawberry: Use freshly ripened strawberries to get a rich and smooth drink. Frozen strawberries also work in this recipe.
- Yogurt: To make lassi, homemade yogurt is the star ingredient. Use plain, fresh, and not sour yogurt for the best taste. You can also use Greek yogurt, just make sure to thin it with milk or water.
- Milk: I've used dairy milk in this recipe, but you can use almond, soy, or any other type of milk.
- Sweetener: add a sweetener of your choice, like refined sugar, maple syrup, honey, agave, or stevia. It's optional.
- Toppings: I've finely chopped strawberries and topped them.
How to Make Strawberry Lassi
Add all the ingredients together in a blender:
- 1 cup strawberry chopped, (8 large strawberries)
- ¾ cup plain yogurt
- ¼ cup dairy milk (or almond milk)
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar (or honey, agave, stevia)
Blend until it becomes smooth and frothy. Adjust the consistency, according to your preference, by adding more milk (or water) or blending in some ice cubes.
Finally, garnish strawberry lassi with chopped strawberries and nuts if desired. Serve immediately for the best taste.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this delicious lassi as a cooling accompaniment with spicy Indian curries, naan, or vegetable biryani. It also pairs well with sandwiches or pancakes.
