This easy fresh, homemade kiwi juice recipe is perfect for hot summer days. Made with just 3 ingredients: kiwi fruit, mint leaves, lemon juice, and sugar. It's refreshing, cool, and delicious.
Kiwi isn't your typical fruit. It differs greatly from other fruits in terms of appearance, flavor, and even nutritional value. Peeling off the brown fuzzy coating reveals brilliant green slices with black seeds scattered throughout, making it a magnificent sight to see in addition to having a tangy, reviving flavor.
You can utilize kiwi in a plethora of recipes such as fruit salad, shakes, desserts, and more. However, my favorite one is a glass of simple kiwi juice.Â
Benefits Of Kiwi Fruit
- Kiwi is rich in vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, which can support immune health.
- Kiwi also aids digestion.
- It also promotes healthy skin.
Ingredients
You only need only three main ingredients to make this fresh kiwi juice recipe.
- Kiwi: Use fresh, ripe, in-season kiwi fruit for the best flavorful juice.
- Mint Leaves: Optional. It is added for a refreshing flavor.
- Lemon juice: A slight tang from the lemon (or lime) juice will elevate the sweetness of the fruit.
- Sweetener: You can add your choice of sweetener, e.g., sugar, maple syrup, honey, agave, stevia, etc.
- Water: A small quantity of water is added to get the juice consistency.
- Ice cubes: optional for serving.
How to Make Fresh Kiwi Juice
Wash the kiwi fruits thoroughly. Cut off the ends and, using a spoon, scoop out the pulp from the skin. Then, cut the fruit into slices.
In a high-speed blender, Vitamix Blender add sliced kiwi pulp, mint leaves, lemon juice, sugar, and water.
Blend for a few seconds on high speed until you have a smooth consistency. Taste and adjust the sweetness at this stage.
If you prefer a smoother texture, Strain the pulp using a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. This step is optional (I personally don't strain the pulp as it is full of fiber and nutrients.)
Pour the kiwi juice into the serving glasses and garnish with fresh mint. Enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
Fresh kiwi juice is best when enjoyed immediately after preparing it or when chilled for a few hours in the refrigerator.
Storing Suggestions
Store the leftover juice in an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Give a quick stir before serving.
