Whip up a quick and easy breakfast smoothie recipe with peaches, bananas, milk, yogurt, plus maple syrup (or honey) for a little sweetness. It’s a great way to start the day, and kids will love it too.
Why I Love this Peach Banana Smoothie Recipe
- Ready in 5 minutes
- Easy, and delicious
- Filling, and perfect for breakfast or a snack.
- Packed with vitamins C and K, fiber, potassium, and protein.
- No refined sugar
- Vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, and can be made vegan.
Ingredients
- Peach - You’ll need one large yellow peach or two small ones. You can also use frozen peaches if they are not in season.
- Banana: Use one-half ripened and frozen bananas. Using frozen bananas helps to make the smoothie thick and creamy. Fresh banana works well too.
- Milk: I like to use unsweetened almond milk. You can replace it with dairy milk, coconut milk, soy milk, or oat milk.
- Greek yogurt: I like to use plain or vanilla-flavored full-fat greek yogurt but again, anything works well here. Use dairy-free yogurt to make this smoothie vegan.
- Sweetener: I used maple syrup in this recipe, but feel free to add sweeteners of your choice, like honey, agave, or refined sugar. It's optional.
How to Make Peach Banana Smoothie
Add the peach, frozen banana, milk, greek yogurt, a sweetener like maple syrup, and ice cubes to your high-speed blender, like Vitamix Blender, and blend for a few seconds until it turns smooth and creamy.
If you prefer your smoothies thinner, try adding extra milk. Pour the mixture into a glass and top it with chopped peach pieces. Serve immediately!
Serving Suggestions
Serve this delicious smoothie as a quick breakfast, like toast or a healthy snack. You can also enjoy this with oatmeal, or cereal.

Variations and Add-Ins
You can make this smoothie with your favorite add-ins. Here are a few suggestions.
- Protein Powder: If you are drinking this smoothie post-workout, add one scoop of protein powder and blend.
- Nut butter: use peanut butter, use almond, cashew, walnut, sunflower seed, or pecan butter for extra protein.
- Seeds: Flax seeds/meal, chia seeds, or hemp seeds work well. They contain plant protein, fiber, healthy fats, and omega-3s.
- Toss in other fruit: You can also add seasonal fruits like Apricots, Strawberries, Blueberries, Cherries, Grapes, Mangos, and Oranges to this smoothie.
- Milk: use almond milk, coconut milk, cashew milk, oat milk, or dairy milk.
- Yogurt: You can use either plain, vanilla greek yogurt, or plant-based yogurt (like coconut or soy yogurt).
- Spices: You can add a pinch of ground cinnamon to add a little spice and warmth to the smoothie.
- Sweetener: You can use any sweetener of your preference, like maple syrup, honey, agave, date syrup, or refined sugar.
- Oats: Add 2 tablespoons of rolled oats to this smoothie to make it heartier, fiber-rich, and filling.
Expert Tips
Here are a few tips for making this easy peanut nutter smoothie.
- Use ripe fruits: using ripe peach and banana makes the smoothie naturally sweet, and creamy, and tastes even better.
- Use frozen fruits: This will make your smoothie extra thick, creamy, and colder. If using fresh fruits like banana and peach, then make sure to add a handle of ice. Otherwise, the smoothie will turn very liquid.
- Use a high-speed blender: This will help to make it an extra velvety smoothie. You will not run into any chunks of fruit in the mouth.
- Drink it immediately: This smoothie is best enjoyed when served fresh. Otherwise, the banana may oxidize and may not taste great.
