This Creamy Mango Milkshake recipe is so easy and made with just 3 simple ingredients: fresh mangoes (or canned mango pulp), milk, and sugar. Serve as a healthy light breakfast shake or nourishing snack.

Mango season is here, and it’s one of my favorite times of the year! Growing up, my mom would regularly make mango milkshake, mavina seekarane, or fresh mango juice during the summers. I really miss those days.
After moving to the USA, I found that Ataulfo mangoes are the best for making milkshakes. They are mostly available at Costco, Sprouts. I've been buying them like crazy and even freezing them so I can enjoy this delicious mango milkshake anytime I crave it!
Many fruit milkshake recipes use ice cream, however, today, I am sharing a popular and basic mango milkshake without ice cream. If you want your milkshake to be ultra-creamy, then add a scoop of vanilla ice cream while blending.

Mango Shake Recipe Ingredients
- Mangoes: Use the best quality mangoes that are sweet, juicy, and non-fibrous for a delicious milkshake. In India, Alphonso, Kesar, or Raspuri are great choices, while in the USA, I prefer Ataulfo, Kent, or Keitt varieties. If fresh mangoes aren’t available, you can also use canned Alphonso or Kesar mango pulp—I personally like the Laxmi Kesar mango pulp brand.
- Milk: I used full-fat dairy milk here. However, you can use your favorite plant-based milk like almond, cashew, soy, or coconut milk.
- Sweetener: add a sweetener of your choice, like refined sugar, maple syrup, honey, agave, or stevia. If the mangoes are too sweet, you can skip adding them.
How to Make Mango Milkshake
There are two ways to make this milkshake – one from freshly cut mangoes and the other using store-bought canned mango pulp. I am sharing both methods below.
Fresh Mangoes
Rinse, peel, and chop 2 medium ripened mangoes into small cubes. You should get 1.5-2 cups.
In a high-speed blender, add freshly diced mango, 1.5 cups whole milk, 1-2 tablespoons sugar, and 2 ice cubes. Blend until smooth and creamy consistency.
Garnish fresh mango shake with nuts and serve it chilled.
Canned Mango Pulp
If fresh mangoes are not in season, then using canned mango pulp is the next best option. For this canned mango milkshake recipe, blend together 1.5 cups of canned mango pulp, 1.5 cups of milk until smooth. Store-bought canned mango pulp contains added sugar, so adjust according to your taste or skip it.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this delicious mango shake as a soothing accompaniment with spicy Indian curries, naan, or veg biryani. You can also serve it as a light breakfast or snack during the summer.
