If you looking for warm and comforting soups to make for your dinner, you'll love these Instant Pot Soup Recipes. Soups are one of my favorite thing to cook in my pressure cooker, along with curries, pasta, rice, or lentils. Perfect for weeknight meals!

These soups contain a plethora of healthy ingredients: legumes, lentils, veggies, cheese, and spices, they are filling and try to reduce calories that you consume in a day.

I have prepared all these dishes in my electric pressure cooker, Instant Pot DUO60 6 QT. You can use any equivalent electric pressure cooker like Mealthy Multipot.

Why make soup in the Instant Pot?

Quick, easy for veggie-loaded soups.
Most of the soup recipes are "dump and go".
Cleaning is easy in the instant pot, because you saute, pressure cooker (boil), puree (if needed), and simmer in the same pot.

FAQs

How to Store Instant Pot Soup

Many soups can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and in an airtight container in a freezer for a few months.
If you plan to freeze the soup, keep the following points in mind.
Add the pasta or noodles to the soup when you are ready to serve, as they will lose their texture once thawed.
Soups containing dairy milk or cream don't hold up well in the freezer. Once thawed and rewarmed, their texture turns grainy and separated.
Soups with potatoes don't freeze well.

Should I use the Instant Pot Soup button?

Soup setting on the Instant Pot brings the soup to a slow simmer and doesn't come to a boil. Hence, it's perfect for reheating.

Why does pressure take so long to build up in Instant Pot?

We don't recommend using soup settings for any of my recipes. Just follow the instructions as written in the blog.
Almost all Soup recipes have a lot of liquid in the pot, hence it takes a while for an Instant Pot to build pressure. Once the pressure builds up, cooking will be faster.
