Ingredients
You will need only a few ingredients to make this yogurt dipping sauce recipe.
- Greek yogurt - Using full-fat plain Greek yogurt to the dip makes it more rich and creamy. I don't recommend using low-fat or nonfat Greek yogurt as they are not as creamy and don't taste great. If you can't find Greek yogurt, you can make hung yogurt at home and use it instead. Here is the detailed recipe for How to make hung curd at home.
- Herbs - Fresh herbs are always the best for the dips. I have used freshly chopped dill and parsley in this recipe. If you can't find fresh dill, use dried dill (dill weed).
- Garlic powder - added for flavoring. You can also add freshly minced garlic.
- Onion powder - brings sweetness from the onion, so do not skip it.
- Oil - Use extra virgin oil for the best flavor. You can also skip it if you want to make it oil-free.
- Lime juice - Add fresh lime juice for tanginess and to bring extra flavor to the dip.
