Avocado Cucumber Chutney Sandwich is an easy, healthy, and delicious Indian-style sandwich recipe prepared with bread, avocados, cucumbers, and green mint chutney. Eat them grilled or as a cold sandwich. People of all age groups relish this lip-smacking breakfast or snack recipe.

I love avocados and always looking for new ideas to use them every day. So today I am sharing a healthy Avocado Chutney Sandwich recipe, inspired by the Tea Time Indian Cucumber Chutney Sandwich recipe.

You can prepare green chutney at home 1 day prior, refrigerate and use it the next day to make this sandwich. They are very easy to assemble and can be made in under 15 minutes.

Both kids and adults will love this sandwich because it this not spicy, making it a perfect breakfast or evening snack recipe. You can also serve them for parties or summer potlucks. I love this sandwich, I am sure you and your family will love this too!

Avocado Chutney Sandwich Ingredients

Making an avocado cucumber chutney sandwich recipe requires very few ingredients.

  • Brown or White Bread Slices - I prefer whole wheat or multigrain bread for a healthier option.
  • Coriander Mint Chutney - Store-bought or homemade green chutney.
  • Avocado: I used ripened Hass Avocado.
  • Cucumber: I have used Persian cucumbers. You may use variety.
  • Cream Cheese: skip if vegan. You may also use mayonnaise or hung yogurt for the spread.
  • Seasoning: chat masala, salt, black pepper.

How to Make Avocado Chutney Sandwich

Take a sandwich bread and apply green coriander mint chutney generously on one slice of the bread and cream cheese on the other slice.

Place the cucumber slices in a single layer, followed by avocado slices.

Cover and press with another bread slice over it. Cut them in half and enjoy them immediately.

Grilled Avocado Chutney Sandwich

Heat Tawa or sandwich maker and spread some butter. Now place the prepared sandwich and spread butter on top.

Grill or toast bread on both sides till golden brown and crisp. The grilled Avocado Sandwich recipe is ready to serve.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with Masala french fries or a Salad and Soup for a filling meal.
  • You can serve an avocado chutney sandwich with a milkshake for toddlers and kids and coffee or tea for adults as a breakfast or evening snack.

Tips & Variations

  1. Use brown or multigrain bread for a healthier choice.
  2. You can replace cream cheese with mayonnaise or hung yogurt.
  3. You can also use pesto sauce instead of green mint chutney.
  4. If the cucumbers are very watery, then place them on tissue paper/paper towel for some time else, sandwiches become soggy very soon.
  5. Toast or grill the sandwich if you like.
  6. You may also add a cheese slice while grilling the sandwich.

Ingredients
  

Measuring cup used 1 cup = 250 ml

  • 4 slices bread whole grain or white
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (or mayonnaise)
  • 2 tablespoons green chutney or more
  • 1 large avocado peeled, pitted and sliced
  • 1 small persian cucumber cut into thin slices
  • 1 teaspoon chat masala
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Take a sandwich bread and apply green coriander mint chutney generously on one slice of the bread and cream cheese on the other slice.
  • Place the cucumber slices in a single layer followed by avocado slices.
